Born in Karlsruhe in 1983, Anke Klaassen studied Arts, Media, Literature and Philosophy at the universities of Constance and Florence. During her studies, she worked as a journalist for several newspapers. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she studied Screenwriting at the Film Academy of Baden-Württemberg. In 2018, she was selected for a fellowship program at the Academy for Children’s Media. During this program, she further developed the children’s film Whisper of Marmots, which was originally inspired by her participation in RACCONTI #1. Her first children’s book, Das Nebelmännle vom Bodensee, was published in 2019. She is currently working on the film adaptation of her novel.
