Caterina Carone is a director, screenwriter and painter and graduated in Media and Communication from the University of Bologna and in Directing from ZeLIG – School for Documentary, Television and New Media. She started her career as a documentary filmmaker and won important awards. She wrote and directed the feature film Fräulein – A Winter's Tale, produced by Tempesta and Rai Cinema with the support of IDM Südtirol – Alto Adige. In 2020, she wrote and directed the short film The Sun and the Other Stars for MAECI and ANICA to promote Italian excellence abroad. Her artworks can be found in private collections and galleries of contemporary art. While working as a film teacher and painter, she is developing her next feature film.
