Born in Darmstadt, Claas Junge studied German Language and Literature (Philology), Art History and Philosophy at Frankfurt University before completing a PhD in Theatre and Film Sciences. After working as a freelance editor for the Hessian radio station Hessischer Rundfunk and freelancing as a copywriter, he moved to Berlin to work as a trainee for Dramaworks. He subsequently spent three years as a junior producer for Phoenix Film in Berlin, supervising different TV series, and then worked as a story liner and coordinating story writer for the soap opera Eine wie keine (Sat 1). Since 2010, he has been working as a freelance writer.
