Daniel was born in the UK but grew up in South Tyrol. He studied Screenwriting, History and Communication in Austria, Italy, Germany, Finland and the UK. He worked on several documentaries and feature films before starting to write and direct his own stories. His shorts A Model Home and Shelter travelled to over 50 festivals worldwide between 2017 and 2018. In 2019, he went to Biennale College in Venice and co-directed the ARTE documentary Money Bots. His half-hour TV-show Social Murder was optioned by Black Sheep Films that same year. Currently, he is working on a follow-up documentary for ARTE, developing his feature debut and planning the 2022 release of his first graphic novel Acid Accessories.
