Erica Gianesini was born in Milan in 1984. After completing her theatre studies at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi, she began her career in theatre. A few years later, she moved to the video industry. She spent all her twenties exploring arts, learning how to tell stories and working with many talented directors and producers for television, web and independent cinema. She was often drawn towards film and theatre projects about social awareness and these, plus her many life experiences, led her to find her vocation as a writer and director and to tell the stories she truly cares about. She spent ten years working with several NGOs (Save the Children UK, RSPCA UK, World Health Organization).
