Fernanda Polacow is a Brazilian filmmaker. She undertook a Master's in Visual Anthropology and has developed, written, and directed several projects for TV and cinema. She is also a mentor for content creators. She was part of Berlinale Talents 2022. Fernanda wrote the feature film Mosquito, which was the opening film at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2020 and won the Critics’ Award for Best Film at the São Paulo Film Festival 2020. For the same film, she was nominated by the Portuguese Cinema Academy for Best Original Screenplay. She is the co-founder and vice-president of MUTIM, Portugal's first woman association in films, a mother, and an amateur percussionist.
