Lara De Simone was born in Heidelberg in 1993 and was raised trilingual. Her second novel, Secrets. Was Kassy wusste, was published by Oetinger in 2016. During her Creative Writing studies in Hildesheim, she focused on intermedia narratives and co-created the web series quasinormal, for which she wrote the pilot. Following on from this student project, she gained work experience with different production firms in Berlin. She is currently writing her third novel and working as a freelance writer.
