Maja Costa studied Screenwriting at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) and participated in the training program Serial Eyes with a scholarship from SKY Italia. She has collaborated with many European production companies and film festivals in several positions, and currently works as a freelance screenwriter and director in Berlin. In January 2017, she co-founded the production company mycrewfilm in Cologne, which received the support of the Mediengründerzentrum NRW.
